Karun Sandal grew up in Coventry, where he spent most of his time looking out of the window, making up stories about the people who walked by.

After being inspired by an amazing teacher called Mr Law, Karun went to study English at the University of Oxford – where he took a class in writing author bios. He got an F for that one.

He now lives in London, where he spends most of his time looking out of the window and making up stories about the people who walk by.

When he’s not writing, he’s miserable – but he has been known to enjoy the occasional jar of Nutella, and is quite fond of making milky cups of tea. He also enjoys yoga – but you’ll never catch him practising.
