His online blog ‘A Passion for Seafood’ has been shortlisted three times in the prestigious Guild of Food Writers Awards. In Mike’s travels around the British Isles investigating the story of how seafood is produced, he has become one of the UK’s leading authorities on the subject and is recognised as an authentic source of information and inspiration for hospitality, education and the media.

Mike is based in coastal Suffolk and also runs ‘Quay Connections’ his own industry training initiative, that teaches consumers about seafood sustainability, traceability and seasonality, via fishing port visits, experiences and workshops for both industry and the wider public.
