Captain Fearbeard, Queen Victoria’s most persistent adventurer, and his obedient cabin boy Sam Lickspittle have already faced the Quacking koalas of Kuala Lumpur, the dancing ducks of Dakar al Siam and the marauding magpies of Moreton in Marsh! Join them and the crew of HMS Albatross on three new adventures to the ends of the world in a quest for fame, fortune and custard cream biscuits!

Captain Fearbeard's steely blue eyes shone with excitement as the bow of HMS Albatross sliced through the cool blue waters of the river Nile. When the mighty pyramid came into view the gentleman explorer clutched the rigging, slapped his thigh and turned to his cabin boy Sam in delight. “There's adventure out there!” cried Fearbeard sniffing the air. “I can smell it!” “I think that's my cheese and onion sandwich sir,” said Sam, tucking his lunch back into his pocket. “Sorry about that!” “No matter!” said Fearbeard, his chin whiskers wafting majestically in the Egyptian breeze. “Adventure often smells like a cheese and onion sandwich! Come! We must prepare for danger!” Fearbeard turned and stalked down the deck of the ship to his private quarters. Sam scurried close behind. Captain Horatio Fearbeard was the bravest explorer in all of Queen Victoria's Empire. Ten year old Sam Lickspittle was, as Fearbeard so often told him, lucky enough to be his trusted cabin boy. Together they had braved the wailing weasels of Tim-Buk-Tu, the vampire vipers of deepest darkest Borneo and the ninja grannies of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Now they were about to embark on their most dangerous adventure yet - a journey to the pyramids of Egypt in a quest for hidden treasure!
