Sarah Ockwell-Smith, founder of gentleparenting.co.uk,  has recently been interviewed by Best Daily about the views she and Peaches Geldof shared on attachment parenting

… Sarah spoke of the “wonderful, kind, hands on mother” that she knew Peaches to be, away from the “spoilt, selfish image” portrayed in the media.

She went on to explain the wonderful start in life she believed Peaches had given her two children, through the techniques of attachment parenting: “the investment and gift that she gave them will have a large effect […] allowing a child to attach and fully responding to their needs in infancy literally grows their brain, forming important neural connections that are the building blocks for that child’s future adult personality.

Attachment parenting is the style of parenting that is based on the work of the famous psychologist John Bowlby the crux of which, as Sarah explains “is really just about respect and understanding.
