In 2017, Laura Macqueen Morgan won a Scottish Book Trust New Writer Award for her short stories, which are published in The Stinging Fly, New Writing Scotland, and The Moth. She is also published alongside Margaret Atwood in Bay Lên, a collection of international short stories translated into Vietnamese by award-winning poet Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai. As well as fiction, Laura writes reviews and essays, and has featured as a Scottish Review of Books’ Emerging Critic. She lives in a hundred-year-old cottage in the Scottish Highlands.
Small Talk is her first novel.
