Shaunie Brett has worked in the fashion industry for 10 years. Starting out as a stylist, and dressing everyone from job-seekers to celebrities, Shaunie used this as a foundation with which to scale personal styling at Thread, combining psychology, artificial intelligence and fashion expertise to create personalised shopping recommendations for hundreds of thousands of people across the UK.
In 2019, Shaunie set herself a new challenge: no shopping for a year. This much-covered clothing detox led to her first written piece for the Evening Standard, a presenting gig for BBC London on the (un)sustainability of London Fashion Week, and has propelled her into the world of sustainable fashion consulting, where clients include Selfridges and Good On You. Shaunie is backing up her long-standing affinity with the fashion consumer with a post-graduate course in Sustainable Business at the University of Cambridge.
