Everyone said they were too young, but Remi and Joel were in love. And it had lasted for over a year.

A week after Remi breaks it off, Joel turns up on her doorstep while she’s getting ready for school.

He’s acting funny – he says he wants to spend one last day together. It could be that something’s wrong at home. Or that he’s having second thoughts about studying music at college.

Or it could be the gun stuck in the back of his trousers.

Remi begins to understand what Joel means by ‘one last day’ as he forces her to retell the story of their relationship with him, vowing he will find which of them is to blame for its collapse.

It is a day of recriminations, high emotions and desperate escape attempts; a day that Joel believes has a fixed ending – a destiny for them both that he has decided.
