Publishers Weekly called it an “excellent psychological thriller” in their weekly PW Picks column.

Bustle profiled Ruth and the novel in a piece entitled “In ‘The Turn Of The Key,’ Ruth Ware Gives Readers That Eerie, Hair-Raising Feeling Of Being Watched.”

Goodreads featured an interview with Ruth about “gothic horrors and tech terrors.” They also featured the novel in their list of “7 Great Books Hitting Shelves This Week.”
