News  ·  Shannon Kyle Discusses Ghostwriting Boom and UK-US Disparity with The Bookseller

Shannon Kyle (Ghostwriter)

Shannon Kyle, the quadruple Sunday Times-bestselling ghostwriter, podcaster and co-founder of The Ghostwriters Agency, has been interviewed by The Bookseller about the recent rise in ghostwritten book sales, and the difference between attitudes towards ghostwriting in the US and in the UK.

In the article, which you can read in full here, Shannon says:

“In the US, ghostwriters are viewed as ’collaborators’ and often get their name on the title page of a book or even the cover. There is a culture of openness when it comes to ghosting that UK ghostwriters do not experience as often. The Americans are far more relaxed culturally about the idea of ghostwriting and using the services of a ghostwriter and so the ghosts can command higher fees…”
