News  ·  Skylar and the K-Pop Headteacher Named Bookseller Editor’s Choice

Skylar and the K-Pop Headteacher, the K-Pop-inspired children’s debut by Women’s Prize-longlisted author Luan Goldie, has been selected as an Editor’s Choice in The Bookseller‘s preview of children’s books released in March 2024.

In the 8th December issue, Charlotte Eyre writes:

“When 11-year-old K-Pop obsessive Skylar accidentally swaps bodies with her draconian headteacher, she immediately wants to switch back. But when the chance to meet her favourite boyband AZ8 arises Skylar decides she might want to stay in her new old-lady body a little while longer, for reasons that involve a viral video.

This ‘Freaky-Friday’-esque adventure is packed full with laugh-out-loud jokes about generational misunderstandings, and readers will be left wondering whether teachers, even the worst ones, might be human after all.”

Skylar and the K-Pop Headteacher will be released on 7th March 2024. Pre-order your copy here now.
