Rebecca Reid, author of the forthcoming “funny and moving” romantic comedy Seven Rules for a Perfect Marriage, which will be published by Bloomsbury General next summer, has talked to the BBC about modern dating and her love of Taylor Swift.

In the article, entitled ‘Tortured Poets Department: How Taylor Swift album lyrics captured modern dating despair’, Rebecca says:

“With So Long, London, but honestly, almost every single song, there’s so much on there about the idea that you gave somebody your youth and that you can’t get that back… And that’s definitely a feeling that I really resonate with.”

Rebecca’s hilarious, moving romantic comedy about modern relationships, Seven Rules for a Perfect Marriage, follows relationship influencers Jessica and Jack. Having met on the day of their last exams at college, they moved to London together to find their fortunes—and now, ten years later, they’re sharing all their advice in a bestselling book, Seven Rules for a Perfect Marriage.

But off-camera, offline, they are bickering, they’re not intimate with each other, they drive each other totally mad… Can their rules really save them, or is their career—and their marriage—built on a lie?
