When Abby escapes an abusive relationship with her teenage daughter, Maya, to live on a remote farm commune in the Peak District, she thinks they’re safe at last. But then Maya disappears from her bed one night, after saying she thought something weird was going on at the farm, and suddenly Abby doesn’t know who to trust.

Someone must have taken Maya – but is it another member of the commune, her abusive ex, or the stranger who’s been watching them all in secret?

Snow fall has set in, and the police think Maya is a run-away. But Abby knows she would never have run off without her phone or telling anybody. There are signs that point to something supernatural going on. In the 90s, another girl disappeared and her body was never found. As the winter weeks roll by and the weather gets worse, can Abby find her daughter before it’s too late?
