Hollow in the Land 1

Times Literary Supplement has reviewed James Clarke‘s Hollow in the Land.

“On show throughout is Clarke’s exuberant talent [. . .] Clarke is attuned to landscape in a way that is both mineral and metaphysical. If there is such a thing as Northern fiction then its routine filing under “brooding fatalism” is well fulfilled here, including Clarke’s liberal splashes of black humour.” Read the full review here.

Hollow in the Land is out now with Serpent’s Tail. You can buy your copy here, or via Waterstones here. Many independent bookshops are also now reopening in the UK – find them all here.
