Tia works in a busy library in south London now, but former incarnations include an ESOL teacher, a social media pundit, an advertising account manager, a copywriter, a TV presenter, a voice over artist and a (mercifully brief) stint as a life-drawing model.
She moved to Portugal for a time, where she was embarrassed to discover that her name means ‘auntie’ and moved back again. Tia has written all her life, but it took her this long to realise she’s allowed to do it for real. She’s published poems in The Rialto and a YA novel was long-listed for the Mslexia Children’s Novel Award.
Tia keeps two teenagers prisoner in her house, trying vainly to feed them vegetables.
