It’s going to be a killer weekend.

Approaching their milestone 40th birthdays, schoolfriends Orly, Lenny, Portia and Mel decide to celebrate at the pop festival in their hometown.

The last time they went was in the final summer of school, when bright futures seemed laid out before them. But their lives haven’t exactly gone to plan. Bereavement, abandonment and disappointment have led them to question their life choices, and each woman yearns to recreate the carefree joy of that long-lost summer.

But they soon discover that Gillfest has a darker side. Innocence can be lost, first love can turn sour, and the ties of friendship can fray. Falling foul of a drug dealer, they start to feel they are being watched. The tent is ransacked, unwelcome gifts are left for them and then, on the final wild night of the festival, Mel goes missing.
