Duckworth Books will publish Fall of Civilizations, a “magisterial” history on the rise and fall of ancient civilisations by Paul Cooper.

As announced in The Bookseller, the book, which will be released in spring 2024, expands upon Paul’s eponymous podcast and will look at the empires from Mesopotamia, the Khmer and Vijayanagara in Asia and Songhai in West Africa to the Mayans and Incans.
