Ruth Ware, author of the “deliciously dark and utterly addictive” thriller (Lucy Foley) The Woman in Suite 11, will be attending the 2026 Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival 2026 as a special guest.

Ruth’s event will be held on Friday 24th July at 10:30 on the Theakston Stage.

The event, ‘From Poirot to Podcasts’ will entail—fifty years after Christie’s death and one hundred years since her hideaway in the Old Swan Hotel—four crime writers exploring “her enduring influence on the genre”.

Ruth will be in conversation with former Christie translator Ragnar Jónasson, Lucy Foley, and Ross Montgomery. Val McDermid will be chairing this conversation.
