Nightingale Point, the “compelling and finely crafted” (The Guardian) Women’s Prize-shortlisted novel by Luan Goldie, has been selected for the World Book Night 2023 Booklist.

World Book Night is about celebrating and sharing books with others. Each year, copies of the books on the booklist are donated to organisations across the UK that can reach people who don’t regularly read for pleasure or have access to books. You can find out more about World Book Night and see the full 2023 Booklist here.

Nightingale Point is a sharp, funny and heartbreaking story about working-class people and the strength of community in the face of adversity.

It’s a day like any other, until something extraordinary happens. When the sun sets, Nightingale Point is irrevocably changed and somehow, through the darkness, the residents must find a way back to lightness, and back to each other.

Nightingale Point is out now. You can buy your copy here or, better, via your local bookshop or Bookshop.org.
