poyums, the 2024 Scots Book of the Year by Len Pennie, has been selected as an Editor’s Choice in The Bookseller‘s preview of paperback books released in February 2025!

In the 22nd November issue, Will Smith praises the collection as “packed with funny, feminist poems between English and Scots, dealing with overthinking, domestic violence, flirting, misogyny and the pressures on women.”

He also touches on Pennie’s budding popularity, noting that the Portobello Bookshop pre-sold 1,200 signed copies of poyums in hardback.
