Andy Stanton‘s “completely hilarious” (Zoe Ball) You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum!, has reached a massive milestone—its twentieth anniversary!

The anniversary celebrations will kick off in April 2026, with a special twentieth anniversary edition of the first book in the series, You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum!.

HarperCollins will also be releasing brand new audio editions of all nine titles in the series, with Mr Gum in The Hound of Lamonic Bibber being available on audio for the first time.

Eve White, CEO of the Eve White Literary Agency and Andy’s agent, was effusive about Mr Gum’s enduring appeal:

“Over the years, so many people have told me that they’d never been able to read a book until they were given a Mr Gum.”

The 20th anniversary edition of You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum! will publish on 9 April 2026.
