New York Times-bestselling author Ruth Ware‘s “deliciously dark” (Lucy Foley) mystery thriller The It Girl, has featured in several round-ups and reviews over the past week.

The New York Post included the brand new murder mystery thriller in a round-up of ‘The best new books to read: Top releases, updated weekly’, which you can read in full here, while Bustle included it in this round-up of ‘The Most Anticipated Books Of July 2022’.

The It Girl made Book Riot‘s round-ups of ’11 of the Best Mystery, Thriller, and True Crime Books Out in July’ and ‘New Releases Tuesday’, available here and here respectively, with Erica Ezeifedi writing: “Unputdownable… Fans of Ware’s writing— as well as newcomers— will revel in her expertly crafted dialogue and characters. This novel in particular showcases these strengths as an action-packed dark academia thriller.”

The It Girl made Amazon‘s list of the ‘Best mysteries and thrillers of July’, available to read in full here, with Vanessa Cronin writing: “Ware once again probes the darkest recesses of friendship… A dark, moody, and tense tale of love and betrayal, The It Girl shows once more why Ware is frequently discussed in the same breath as the great Agatha Christie.”

And, finally, Library Journal ran a piece for Ware fans entitled ‘Read-Alikes for ‘The It Girl’ by Ruth Ware’. In the article, which is available here, John Charles reviews The It Girl: “Top-drawer entertainment from a modern master of mystery.”
