The Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize judges picked Andy Stanton‘s Mr Gum and the Biscuit Billionaire for its shortlist of four books. The winner was announced in an awards ceremony at The Guardian offices in London on 5th October 2007. In her review in today’s Guardian, Julia Eccleshare said, ‘Stanton’s robust humour maintains its pace throughout the book – keeping readers entertained till the last.’
