Catch award-winning children’s author Tracey Corderoy this weekend at Clevedon Literary Festival 2023.

On Saturday 10th June, Tracey will be participating in two events:

10am-10.45am : SHIFTY MCGIFTY AND SLIPPERY SAM, COOKING UP A STORM! STORYTELLING FOR YOUNG CHILDREN

Everyone’s favourite baking doggy duo Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam are back for a new adventure, as they use their doggy detective skills to save the day! Expect interactive storytelling and live illustration, as Tracey brings her latest book to life. Drawing, games – it’s sure to be PAW-some! Growing up in South Wales, Tracey had few books beyond a Ladybird edition of Cinderella and a set of encyclopaedias. Now a multi-award-winning author, she has recently published her 75th book.

2.30pm-3.30pm : WRITING FOR CHILDREN WITH TRACEY CORDEROY

Tracey knew NOTHING about writing for children when she started out, other than she desperately wanted to do it! Join Tracey as she takes you on a writer’s journey: the dos, the don’ts, the quite possibly maybes. (Her rejection folders in the early years were impressively, depressingly heavy!) Now, 13 years into the journey, Tracey has published 75 books and won multiple awards. She is excited to share this marvellous rollercoaster journey with you.
