Growing up in Dublin, Gary and older brother Nick were taught to be tough and ambitious.

Gary earned a basketball scholarship to America but his dreams of playing pro were cut short after being hospitalised and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Today, he drifts in and out of jobs, relationships and psychiatric care.

As far back as he can remember, Nick wanted to be a gangster. He enjoyed a life of organised crime in the Canary Islands until a religious epiphany called him to train for the priesthood in Italy.

Now in their 40s, the brothers have not spoken in years. When their father goes missing on a walking holiday in Gran Canaria, the brothers are forced to reunite in an attempt to find him.

Will Nick’s criminal past on the island catch up with them? Can the brothers put their differences aside and succeed in their quest?
