Han Smith, author of the “extraordinary” (Adam Zmith) Portraits at the Palace of Creativity and Wrecking, will be speaking at a conference held by the Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies: The business of producing and promoting women’s writing. How are books born? From idea to the global shelf.
This conference, held as part of the University of London’s carousel of events for International Women’s Day 2026 and Women’s History Month 2026, will be running from Thursday 12th March to Friday 13th March.
Han will be speaking at the second session on Thursday 12th March ‘First Steps to Publication’ from 13:30 to 15:00 and will be in conversation with Osvalde Lewat, Enrica Maria Ferrara and Dr Bibi Bakare-Yusuf.
