Mark Haysom, author of Love, Love Me Do, has spoken to the Leicester Mercury about fulfilling his “40-year dream” of becoming a novelist in an article published…
…yesterday (22nd July). Mark said: “I have spent the last few years trying to learn the craft of the writer. Inevitably, there were many setbacks along the way. I have a pile of rejection letters that would be familiar to many aspiring authors.
“Finally, though, I made it. After a 40-year wait, I guess I’m living proof that it’s never too late. You should never let go of your dreams.”
Mark’s editor, Emma Beswetherick, said: “It’s such a privilege to have been part of the publication of such a uniquely brilliant novel.”
