After the second series’ major success, My Mad Fat Diary will return for a third and final season in the Summer 2015…

…The first season of My Mad Fat Diary—based on Rae Earl‘s diary of the same name—was BAFTA shortlisted and nominated for two Royal Television Society Programme Awards. The second series has helped to contribute to one of E4’s most successful years after regularly pulling in one million viewers.

Piers Wenger, head of drama at Channel 4, said: “My Mad Fat Diary has touched the hearts of the E4 audience and it is with both sadness and pride that we announce filming on the third and final series.”
