Andy Stanton‘s most recent title Mr Gum and the Secret Hideout has been receiving wonderful reviews in the press. It was in the Daily Telegraph‘s list of books to entice children to read this Christmas, and was well praised for its “clever word play and bonkers comic riffs”. The Sunday Telegraph highly recommended the title in their list of books to fill children’s Christmas stockings. The Jewish Chronicle hailed Andy Stanton‘s new book: “as outrageously funny as ever” and complemented David Tazzyman’s drawings as “even more tazzy”. Mr Gum and the Secret Hideout was also included in The Red House list of favourite reads for 2010. They called it “feet-meltingly funny”!
