Saskia Sarginson has been interviewed in the Irish Times. “I write from mid-morning until my son gets home from school… I’ll often write in the evenings and at weekends… but I never stop…

…thinking about scenes and characters,” says the best-selling author of The Twins and Without You.

When asked about her reviews, Saskia said, “I hold my breath when I read anything about my book. It’s truly wonderful to get good reviews… Hearing someone’s happy reading experience makes my day.”

Saskia’s favourite book is Henri Matisse Contre Vents et Marees which was published by her half-brother. Saskia met him in 2001, having not “known of his existence until a week before… The book is one of the only things that connects me to the father I never knew…”

Saskia says that writing has taught her “patience” and encourages any aspiring authors “to keep writing, keep reading.“
