Tracey Corderoy and Steven Lenton’s Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam has made it onto The Telegraph‘s list of the best books of the year for young children. Critic Helen Brown wrote …

… “It’s been a great year for picture books, with lots to delight the eyes and stimulate the minds of the under fives.” The book list is designed to “help [parents] make the best Christmas choices.”

On Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam, Brown said: “It’s the kind of book that I might not have picked up had I not been nudged its way – but Corderoy’s rich, rhyming text is a pleasure to read aloud and the ending got a big laugh in my house.”
