Not Going to Plan, the “brilliant” (LoveReading) verse novel about sexual consent, unplanned pregnancy and the breaking of taboos by Carnegie Shadowers’ Award-winner Tia Fisher, has been shortlisted for the Windsor Academy Trust’s 2026 Secondary Book Awards.

The shortlist was curated with input from the professional librarians, teaching staff and the students across the trust.
