Penguin Michael Joseph have announced that they will publish author and illustrator James Norbury‘s The Journey: Big Panda and Tiny Dragon, a narrative follow-up to his Sunday Times-bestselling debut Big Panda and Tiny Dragon.

In an announcement in The Bookseller, James said: “Writing and illustrating The Journey has been both the most rewarding and demanding undertaking I have attempted, not least as the two characters’ story in some ways mirrors my own, with all of its highs and lows. My sincere hope is that readers will enjoy the narrative, but also find elements within it that are relatable and helpful.”

Join Big Panda and Tiny Dragon as they set off on an extraordinary adventure in this companion to the global bestselling phenomenon Big Panda and Tiny Dragon.

Although content in their temple high up in the mountains, Tiny Dragon realises that something feels incomplete. So it is that the two friends decide to make a journey together, to new and distant lands. As they encounter dangers and challenges, they learn that everything they need is already inside them and that change, though sometimes scary, is possible and, with patience, can lead to better things.

The Journey will be released on 22nd September 2022. You can pre-order your copy here now.
